Half Way

Monday, November 26, 2012
I'm now 20 weeks!
More than half way for my pregnancy, seeing as I'll be having a c-section between 37 and 38 weeks.

My belly is growing an inch a week which is fabulous because I know the twins are also growing, but bloody scary knowing I still have 18ish weeks to go and at this rate, another eighteen inches to GROW!!!

19 weeks

and bigger again at 20 weeks!

I also did a Q and A on Mamamia last week which you can read here. I had some negative comments, whaich are always to be expected but the majority were very positive and a few women have contacted me wanting to know

Hi Nicky. Congrats on Being at the 20 wk mark. I am just wanting to know which clinic you went to in Greece?

Hi Redlisa2012,

The clinic is called Athens Genesis. I'm not sure which state you live in, but you should be managed by someone here and most clinics will only do the blood work and ultra sounds but not help with meds if you're going elsewhere.
My Dr is affiliated with them and, no matter where you are in Aust, she will monitor you. Her name is Denyse Bernstein and her # is 02 93861315.
Good luck

Thank you Nicky for the info. Are you in Nsw? Is your Dr a gynae specialist. Do you think a Gp can also do the tests, ultrasounds? My specialist is not really open to Overseas alternatives however my GP is pretty open to ideas having personally done IVF themselves. I am in Qld so not sure how I would go with your Doc. I will do some more research now I have the info. Hope all is going well for you this week.

Hi Nicky,
I came across your blog a few years ago when I was considering my own options, but stopped reading at some point because life got in the way (in short, having made the decision to use IUI, I met someone, put it on hold for 6 months and got pregnant. I was lucky). It was with some apprehension that I checked back in, afraid of what may or may not have happened, but I'm so delighted to read about your twins! Congratulations! My daughter is a joy, and everything I hoped for. I hope that everything goes well for the rest of your pregnancy, birth, and your life with your babies.
